Pinoy Fashion Week – Santi Obcena

As this year’s Philippine Fashion Week starts May 26- June 3, 2009. Pinoy (Slang for Filipino) designers are boasting their creations with pride and creativity. One of my favorite Pinoy Fashion designers and collection was Santi Obcena’s works.

His Greek Mythology inspired creations are incredibly amazing as the models rallied the runway. The colors, and fabrics, even the accessories he used to match the clothing works incredibly awesome!

I love the way he accessorized the garments simply so you can still wear your ethnic jewelries to match the dresses. Metallics and silks were awesome too. Plus his artistic imagination, you can feel the intensity and passion in his works.

Buckle Up, Santi!

Santi Obcena is a Filipino Talent rising from this, and will soon creates his name throughout the world given the oppotunity. His works and creativity can compete with the famous International Designers all over the world. More doorways will soon open up to his path, driven with his humility and passion to what he does, no doubt he will suceed. Soon, we’ll see his works worn by Hollywood Celebrities, Fashionistas, and A-Listers worldwide. So Santi, buckle up and enjoy the ride! Hope you stay grounded, do not be like this Pinoy fashion designer that became too proud.
