
Forbidden Purple City of Vietnam is the imitation of the Forbidden City in China. It was home for the royal emperors and empresses. During their Imperial Time, no one is allowed to enter the city but the royal blood families. At the present, it is open for the public.

Forbidden Purple City Gate
Inside the Forbidden Purple City, several temples and houses you can see, designated to each royal member of the empire. There are few stores inside that sells souvenirs, food, and theater tickets. Theater inside is open everyday for performances. Costumes and Royal Chair that used to carry royal members are for hire if you want to feel how is it like to be a royal member. Thirty minutes tour with the royal chair and costume worth 150,000VND.
