It was Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 around 3:00PM after a late lunch, I went back to the guesthouse and the receptionist just told me that there was an ongoing boat race in town.  She said it started from 8:00AM and will end 6:00PM.  Since, nothing’s to do for that day I went to the river and check out the race, and it was cool!  There were numbers of Rower Teams with female and male division competing, it was funny how the local Lao people play the race in harmony…they were yelling in chorus for rowing signal!
