(The “Shit Head Group” formed in Bali’s Bedbunkers Hostel)

Year 2012 started a bit grounded than my year 2011 due to the work I applied for before 2011 ended.  Which made me cancel the Davao trip scheduled January 2012 and waited until I can use my Vacation Leave at work after 3 months of being hired.

(Zip Lining in Davao)

Here’s how my travels went:

(Surfing in Bali)

It may not be a full-packed activity trips but I always make sure it is something adventurous.  Although you may think this is quite a boring travels, this is my biggest year of adventure.  Why?  Because 2012 is the year when I decided to embark on the biggest adventure of life, the quest of beginning my life without borders.  A dream I always want to do but a decision that is really hard to make.  Finally, it came to become a reality and I left Philippines last September 2, 2012.  From that day until today, it is still a continuous adventure and guess what, travel is not out of the equation but instead, its the core of this mission.  Let me tell you what happened since then…

 (With Jamie in Brunei)

  • September 2 – arrived in Khao San Road (The Backpacker’s area)
  • September 3 – moved to my first apartment in Southeast Asia at Ramintra
  • September 4 – went to my first job interview in Bangkok
  • September 7-11 – off to Pattani, Thailand for my first English Camp
  • September 24-28- went to Samut Songkram for my 2nd English Teaching Camp in Thailand
  • October 27 – We winged a Couchsurfing event at Khaosan Road
  • October 28 – Dinner Cruise at the Manora (Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River)
  • October 30 – Moved to Patthalung, Thailand for a teaching job
  • November 1- Work started
  • December 5- Went with fellow teachers for a town trip

Upcoming trip before the year ends (and beginning of the year 2013)…

  • December 29-January 3- Khanom, Thailand… (Hopefully Koh Samui and Koh Panggan which are the 2 neighboring islands from Khanom.

    1. Thanks Claire! It is awesome, I didn’t know I’d enjoy teaching in Thailand which makes me realize I’d enjoy it everywhere my teaching will bring me. 🙂 Brunei is such a cool and easy to explore(only if they have better public transport system), but it is fun to see what they have to offer. 🙂
